Todays thought...the Christmas Spirit

Where DOES the Christmas spirit go during Christmas? It's not in the people. Most of them are so concerned with themselves that they don't care. They just rush through the hustle and bustle and don't stop to look at every day life and the meaning of Christmas.

Christmas is the celebration of Jesus Christ's birth. Wooo, there I go. First off, I said Christmas. Then I said Jesus Christ! I'm damned to political correctness hell now! Whatever. That's one thing that really pisses me off about Christmas any more is all the right wing bull shit that comes with the season. "We're gonna call it a 'Holiday Tree' instead of a 'Christmas Tree' because we might offend someone." Screw that! We're in America! We are in the United States of America! A country that was built upon the beliefs of Christian men and women! Ope, there I go again, Christian! Have you ever thought about what Christmas or Christian have in common? Why don't we look at the first 6 letters of each word! There we go with that Christ word again! WHATEVER!

Anyway, back to the point at hand. The spirit of Christmas is love and giving. What happened to years ago when I could tell my neighbor who was from France, Merry Christmas, and she would smile a sweet smile and say Merry Christmas back! In French of course, but still! She didn't get upset with me! Or the guy from the middle east that I knew from way back when, that didn't even celebrate Christmas who I could say it to. He would simply smile and say Merry Christmas back. I mean, what was wrong with him right, the man celebrated Ramadan, not Christmas? He should have been totally offended by what I was saying right? He was from a different country all together that didn't even celebrate Christmas. He should have been angry, and spit at me! Right? No. He wasn't! And you know why? Because he knew that he was in America of his own free will and he was now a citizen and that American citizens celebrated Christmas and said Merry Christmas!

People, we have gotten so politically correct during every day life, that we worry so much about what everyone will think about what we say, that we stopped focusing on the important things. It's bad when the American Citizen has become the minority!

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!
