Todays thoght....Let it snow

I absolutely hate the cold, but snow on the other hand is a whole other story. I remember being younger and could not wait until snow so I could sled and skate and everything and build showmen. As I got older I could not wait for the snow because living where I am now, it was so uncommon that if it snowed, schools were automatically closed. And now that I am working for a living snow has 2 meanings to me.

I dont have any children yet but my nephew Sniper Jr is about to get to that age that he is going to be able to enjoy it. This is the main meaning of it for me. I can't wait for the first snow to see his reaction on his little face. With my neice Lil Floor coming soon, it will be the same with her. Seeing a child see snow for the first time, or even just thinking about the reaction takes me back to when I was a kid. I was resilient. I'd be blue because I would be so cold, but would still just insist on getting out in it. My mama would bring me in for some hot coco but I just could not stand it when I was inside and there was 2 ft of snow to play in.

The other reason to be completely honest, around in my neck of the woods we normally get ice and not snow, so if it snows around here, work is usually closed. Gives me a free day. Kinda fun. Underlying that, it gives me the opprotunity to go out and have fun like I did when I was younger.

Well that is about all she wrote for right now, so I say to you all, if it is snowing where you are right now, go out and enjoy it. If its not, then think of when you were a kid, and how much snow made you feel good, and think...Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!!!!

Todays thought...An update

Haven't posted in a while I know. Life's been pretty good. My Pooh Bear got a wonderful job. It was hard for us but like I told him when he first quit his previous employment...He could have gone out the next day and gotten a job anywhere flipping burgers...but he's better than that. And guess what...he did. I am so proud of my baby and I know that he is glad to be back to work. He was so bored at home that he changed my living room around atleast once a week. But alas, he is back. My sister's husband helped along the way ... Sniper, Thank you ... And he got the interview and got the job.

My Floor is doing good with the Sniper Jr and the one on the way. My daddy told me a while back that she was having a girl, and when she went to her last ultra sound ... sure enough they gave her a 75% chance that it's a girl. I'm going with her to the next one coming up and find out for sure. I will call her Lil Floor. Of course, I will update everyone on the findings.

This past weekend was not a great weekend for me. I ended up in the hospital. My first trip in an ambulance. Kinda wierd. My Pooh Bear called everybody and of course My Floor and Sniper were among the top on the list to be called. My Floor has been trying for about 3 weeks to get her hair cut now. So, when my Pooh Bear called Sniper, he called My Floor. By the time they let my Pooh Bear into the room with me back in the ER, My Floor had already gotten to the hospital and was in the waiting room. I have to laugh because I asked them to let her back there and when she got back there she joked that she swore this was a conspiracy for her to not get my hair cut. I was trying so hard to laugh but a little out of it. So ... Floor, I know you were kidding and it was quite proven by the fact that you sat up there with me all afternoon when I know you had better things to do with your time. If I didn't tell you the other day, Thank you and again, I feel so blessed to have you in my life.

Well I guess that's about it for now. Its been pretty quiet. I will keep everyone posted on Lil Floor. And to all, goodnight.
