Todays thought...getting older.

Yesterday was my birthday. I will not disclose my exact age at this time. I almost cried at the thought of getting older. I took a week off work for myself and have had a great time setting home doing nothing.

Then it made me think. Back when I was younger, the thought of getting out of the house and partying was a great idea to me. But as I've gotten older, it has been more enjoying for me to stay at home than to go out. Of course my Pooh Bear wanted to carry me out but he got off work way too late. But it was an absolutely wonderful day for me. Infact..To be completely honest...I didn't even get out of my pj's. It was a good day.

My week off has been just as good. I've been getting some much needed laundry done and things around the house that need to be done. And I don't know about anybody else...but it's easier for me to get things done when no one else is here. Don't get me wrong. Pooh Bear and I share the load around here but I like to get things cleaned and reorganized when I'm here alone.

But back to the thought of today...getting older is just one of those things. I guess with life you have age. And wisdome. I get told I have a little bit more wisdome than others my age but I think that is because I've experienced more in the years that I have been alive than most people will experience in a lifetime. But it just goes with the flow of things.

I guess Gump's mom was right. Life is like a box of chocholates. You never really do know what your going to get. Like a bad poker game. You can keep your poker face on but you never know then hand you'll be dealt, until it is there in front of you. Then of course, the ever faithful choice, to ride it out or fold. Including a couple of bluffs along the way. Well everyone out there, when your birthday rolls around this year or even if it already has, just keep in mind...Keep that poker face on, don't let your guard down, don't ever show anyone your hand, bluff if you have to, ride it out. And no matter what you do, or don't do...Don't fold.

Todays thought...My loves

I've done enough blogs about my pet pieves. So now, lets talk about a couple websites that can give me what I love. I now invite you into the mind of a mid 20's child. Scared?!? You should be....

Of course...my main love is my family and my loving husband (Mind you...this includes all of my animals). One of my other main loves is Killer Whales and Manatees. Also known as Orca's and Sea Cows. My entire livingroom is Killer Whales. Infact I got sick one morning and when I woke up in my floor the paramedics around me asked me if I liked Killer Whales. You definitely notice it when you come in my house. I have found a website that can give me my daily dose of Orcas. It's Shamu.com and the website is amazing. If you have streaming video capabilities, get onto the main site, go to Shamu Cam and set back and watch. They have 2 camera feeds in the main tank in San Diego Ca that runs live feed from 9am to 5:30pm Pacific time and from 5:30 to 9 the next morning they replay the feedback from the day. I love it and I love to get on the website.

The other thing that I love is miniature things. I have an infatuation with mini things. I have mini TY's, miniature dice, I just ordered my miniature Dominos on line and I have mini playing cards, mini Uno, mini Connect Four and anything else moderately priced that I can get my hands on that is mini, I will probably try and aquire. Which brings us to the other website. Its a company called Biffleys and they deal with games of all sizes. I got my dice from there and that is where I just ordered my dominos. Its at biffleys.com.

I close my blog entry with a look at one of my food loves. Mac and Cheese. I am an avid fan and eat a lot of Kraft Delux. I love the stuff and again, eat it all the time. Infact, I'm going to go make some now. Later.

Todays thought...The family grows

My little bro actually broke up with his long time girlfriend. They were just not working out so long distance and it seemed to get to more of a bill collector than a love/love relationship. After doing that he had met and started anew with a relationship with a wonderful girl. I will reffer to her as Red.

She is good people. She seems to have a good head on her shoulders and is actually keeping my little brother in check. Something he desperately needs. They have been dating now for about a month. From what I have seen she is very nice and seems good at heart. Now call me crazy but I am what people call a precog. I can sense things. When I see her, I don't sense anything bad or sneeky. Maybe a little stuborn and headstrong, but hey...that means that she will fit into this family perfectly.

I won't go into major detail about her because that would be her life and not mine...but I do like her. She is very personable and we seem to get along real well together and from what I can tell...my family likes her a lot. And more to that, she's here. So we can get together and talk and stuff.

Yesterday she broke the news that she and my little bro are engaged. I have to admit...I was a little taken back at first, but they are going to take it slow to marriage and wait a year. They live together and much to my daddy's detest...I think its good. My Pooh Bear and I lived together before we got married and I honestly think anybody should before getting married. I told Red this for the reasoning that if soemthing happens, and it doesn't work out...there are no ties there.

I think this may work out and there is a year to go. I will keep you posted. To you Red...I really like you as a person and even if it doesn't work out in the long run...I hope we can be good friends and look forward to a long friendship down the line.

Todays though...More scrutiny for Bush

Ok...so lets look at the political side of me for today. I am very upset at what is going on right now with this whole 9/11 review. From what I can see...and I could be wrong on this, they are trying to see if Bush could have prevented this or not. Now with this entry I am going to voice my opinion very openly so if I offend anyone...that is not the intent. But I am going to let everyone who reads my bloggs know, just how I feel on this matter.

I do not think that Bush could have prevented this and I don't particularly care for the fact that they are trying to pin this on anyone except for the terrorists that did this. If anyone should be under scrutiny I think it should be Clinton. In 1993 when he was in office...and the Trade Centers were bombed the first time, it was brought to the attention of the American people by Osama that he would come back and finish the job. Now, unless that was just a rumor, started by the public, why didn't Clinton get off his democratic Butt and do something about it? He brushed off the threat as nothing, and took no action.

Now I would understand the reasoning that any kinds of acts toward anything or any types of decisions that are made must be passed by the house and the senate a while ago. But now, I don't buy it. Bush if I'm not mistaken did not make any attempt to get anything passed. He put his foot down and blatenly said, "I am the President of the United States of AMERICA. This is my home, my country and my people and let no one stand in my way because justice will be done." (Of coarse, those were not his exact words, but thats the brunt of it). He didn't wait for the house and the senate to beef out their differences. There was no time, something needed to be done and he took action and made it happen.

It has also been brought to my attention watching the news channels that the reason Bush is being questioned about this is because there was a threat, just after he came into office, that something would happen. So again, with him doing what he could, why are we now, after 4 years, trying to put blame on someone other than the terrorists. And further more, if Bush is being questioned for not taking action on a threat, why isn't Clinton being questioned for not taking action on a threat. Why didn't Clinton put his foot down to put a stop to this when it happened the first time. Why didn't he do anything to prevent this from happening again.

Now again, this is just my opinion on what I do know or have heard. I am not in the white house, nor am I a senator, or a house representative. I do not claim to know everything about this matter. I am simply an American citizen using my 1st Amendment right that says: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the FREEDOM OF SPEACH, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Todays thought...Happy Easter

Today is a special day for me. Though it is Easter Sunday...already a day to rejoice...It is also mine and my Pooh Bears anniversary. 2 yrs ago today we got married. It was a Thursday I will never forget.

It couldn't have been more perfect. In my mama and daddy's back yard. I may have blogged about this previously but it is a story I love to tell. The first time I got married I was 16 and it was in a court house. Never really a chance for my daddy to walk me down the aisle, or a chance for my mama to help get me ready. Well after my divorce and upon meeting my Pooh Bear, when he heard that I had not had a real wedding, he vowed that this time I would.

When he asked me to marry him...we sat down and talked about what kind of wedding we both wanted. I told him that I had always wanted a small wedding on horseback. He told me at that point he knew there was a reason he'd fallen in love with me. Everything went right. He asked my daddy for my hand in marriage (Something very special for my daddy I'm sure) and we set a date. I was so happy. My family loved him and I knew it was right this time.

Our wedding was awesome to say the least. So why don't we start with the night before and get this story correct.

My Pooh Bear actually had to work on the 10th. He worked 3rd shift and his plan was to get off early, get home, get some sleep and be at my mama and daddy's house about 12:00pm on the 11th for the wedding. The wedding was supposed to take place at 3:00pm. So...since he was working...and the story goes...its bad luck for the groom to see the bride on the wedding day...I spent the night at my mama and daddys. My grandparents were down for the wedding and they were there so there was not a whole lot of room.

I did not have much of a bachelorette party but I didn't want much of one anyway. I think it was one of the best times I ever had. My Floor came to the house and we had Koegels hotdogs and Macaroni and Cheese. It was so cool. Then, it was...my wedding day

We got up in the morning as one of my other bridesmaids showed up for the "Big Day". She and Floor went to a little shop to get their outfits for the wedding. Everyone there, if they were in or there at my wedding was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt. My bridesmaids all had black jeans and green shirts and my Pooh Bears groomsmen were in black jeans and white shirts. And they were all in cowboy hats.

As they went on their way to get some black jeans, my mama and I went to a little craft store to get the veil material for my cowboy hat and went to a local store to get the wedding cake. We got back to the house to get it ready for the ceremony. Sure enough, my Pooh Bear was late. He didn't get there until about 1:30. There was still plenty of time so it didn't matter. My bridesmaids had started arriving and I was at the barn, getting my red roan appaloosa Patience, ready for the wedding. We had gotten some little purple and white roses to go in her mane and tail (Which for the record...she was not happy at all with the braided "fru-fru" stuff in her mane and tail)

I had brushed her out, got her ready and saddled her up, waiting the time. My Pooh Bear had snuck to the side of the house while getting the trellas ready with purple and white roses for the ceremony so that I could get into the house and wait for the start. All of my bridesmaids were down in the living room with me while waiting.

You know they say that it is good luck for the groom to be late to the wedding. Well, he got his, but what does it mean when the preacher is late? It boils down to a miscommunication. The preacher thought we said the wedding was at 3:30, so he got there at 3:30. However, as I said, it was supposed to be at 3. Then, if nothing else could go wrong...they couldn't find the marriage license. And then here's little unbenonced me, setting in the livingroom just clueless, waiting for someone to come and get me to get the thing started.

Then...it was finally time. After long anticipation I went out front, climbed in the saddle and my daddy walked beside me and got to walk me down the aisle. We proceded in our vows. In the midst of all of this and unfortunately you can see this in the video of when it takes place, I had managed to somehow get a hair in my mouth. I almost made it all the way through the vows until it came to "I now pronounce you...man and wife...You may now kiss the bride." So in my video you can see me taking my hand to my mouth and wiping this hair off my toung and onto my jeans.

The reception went great and to beat all, the rain that was moving through the area seemed to hold off until after the ceremony. You could see all of this grey in the sky and then right where we were, there was this hole in the clouds where God was smiling on us and giving us his blessing with this massive ray of sunshine. The reception was great and sure as I am setting here today, after everyone had left, the sky let loose and the rain came. It literally poored. It looked like someone had just unzipped the cloud above us and just let it fall.

I guess I end this note with a few words to my Pooh Bear. When you read this, I love you with all of my heart and do not care who knows it. Thank you so much for being you (Even when you make me mad) and for letting me have my way with my daddy walking me down the aisle and my mama helping me with everything. I know you tell me that you didn't LET me do anything and that I did all of it on my own, but none of it would have been done if you hadn't been the man you are and fell in love with me. Happy Anniversary baby. And may we be blessed with so many more to come.

Todays thought...The Marble of Death (And an update on Sniper Jr)

Ok...so let me just start with my weekend. Saturday my mama, Pooh Bear and I go to a horse fair that we participate in every year. Recently since my Pooh Bear came into my life, we've been going and something seems to always happen. Well this year was no different.

At the horse fair, a rather large storm comes from the horizon. We can all see it is going to hit us where we are. My mama and I decide to go sitdown instead of standing out there under a huge 20' by 40' tent supported by steel bars. Pooh Bear though is a sucker for storms. He loves to watch them. No sooner do my mama and I set down to watch the event, the lights flicker.

I looked over to her and she goes "Don't go there!" I said, "You saw it didn't you?" and she procedes to say "Don't go there with me." (A little history into that, it rains every year when we go to the horse fair and the second year we went, while eating, there was a tornado pass over head.) So anyway we hear the most aweful howling really loud and then you hear crashing and banging. I stand up and turn around and the tent is gone. I look at my mama and screamed "Holy S#&*! The tent's gone!" Then it hits me. Pooh Bear is still under the tent.

So I procede to literally crawl and climb over people trying to see the action because I didn't know how or ever where my Pooh Bear was. I get to the door to find him holding one of the steel poles holding the tent up. I realize at this time that it is lightening all over the place and a thought of "Oh Great! Lets tempt fate here. Am I negitively charged...or positively charged?" At any rate, upon coming in the building he procedes to tell me that he (As my daddy put it ... quite well I might add) went parasailing. He was attempting to keep the stell rods holding the tent up from going one way into an 8 year old girl and the other way from going through the plate glass doors in the entrance of the building when a massive down burst hit. He said that at one point he was picked up and carried about 6' in the air and was debating whether or not to hang on or let go. He hung on and was ok thankfully. I told him that he was not allowed to come with my mama and I to another outing like this. Of corse I didn't me it, he's my Pooh Bear, I love it when he's there.

So...(Oh yeah, it gets better) We get home to find that something is wrong with our hot water in our place. We had hot water, but now water pressure. So we decide to wait until Sunday before calling. The maintinance crew leader had determined that though we had no water pressure, we still had hot water and it would have to wait. I could understand as he was right...we had hot water...just no pressure. So they log a ticket for me and they come out Tuesday. They blew the lines out and sure enough that was all they needed. We had hot water pressure again...Or so we thought. By the time we got home, there was less hot water pressure than the night before and more cold water pressure that we had ever had.

Well, needless to say we called maintinance to get up here and fix it right away. We had not had a WARM shower in 3 days. So they came back out today. They decided from what they found that they would just try replacing the hot water heater all together. Upon doing that, they of corse blew the lines out again to make sure that nothing else was clogging the lines. When they went to blow out the lines this time however they could not get anything to move one way or the other.

They took my piping off and disconnected it to find that a marble had gotten lodged in my piping. A MARBLE! And oddly enough, its smaller than a normal marble. Just perfect to fit into the pipe connections and stop the flow. From what they could tell, the marble had traveled all the way from the main line at the road to my hot water connection. Maintinance then told me that what happened yesterday, was when they blew the lines out, they knocked it loose, sent it back down the line a little ways, but not out completely and then when we used the hot water again, it got lodged back in there. Hence todays thought...The Marble of Death

I end my blog with one final thought to Sniper Jr. A little over a month under 1, he took his first steps. He is walking all by himself now. With no help! Floor called me today and told me that he walked 15 steps today. A new record for Sniper Jr and a wonderful time for Floor. Congratulations to ya little man! You're growing up so fast. Try not to give your mommy to hard a time. To Floor...Honey, bless you child. You're going to need it! It's all over when they start to walk! But you now I love ya and you can call any time you need anything.

Todays thought...babies

I went with my Floor this morning to her doctors appt. I got to hear Lil' Floors heart beat. It was so awesome. I got to be there when we found out that Lil' Floor was a girl too. As I was there for Sniper Jr. It was so awesome and I just loved it.

It got me to thinking about just how small Sniper Jr was and how big he has gotten in just under a year. He is standing on his own and walking on his own now and is just so active. He's eating "Big people" food and is just as happy as ever. You just can't imagine unless you have a child, just how fast they can grow up.

My daddy was helping me enroll in a retirement plan the other night and it was just amazing that it seems like only yesterday he was helping me with homework. It almost made me cry at the thought that kids really do grow up so fast. It's not as easy as you'd think as a teenager to be an adult. I remember telling my daddy that I was upset because I was out on my own, had a mail box, and didn't have anything in it for a little while. He laughed and told me to wait until I was complaining because all I got was bills in my mail box. Well boy was he right! Seems like every day there's another bill for something else.

I guess the final thought for today, cherrish your children if you have them and cherish your parents, because life is way too short!

Todays thought...commercials

Have you ever noticed that some commercials make you wonder how much time someone really has on their hands? But then it makes you wonder...How much time do we have on our hands to be setting in front of the tv watching those commercials. I think now I will share a couple of my favorites with you.

My favorites right now is the Honda commercial when they have the vehicles and their owners and the made them to look alike. Another of my favorites is a Snickers commercial. Actually there are 2. The most recent commercial is a father and son at a ball park. You hear the father go "Peanuts!" and the vendor throws him some peanuts. Again "Peanuts!" from the father and the vendor throws more at him. Then you hear "Peanuts! Peanuts! Peanuts!" and you see the vendor just hurling peanuts at the father. While all of this is going on you just see peanut shells flying everywhere. Finally the vendor throws the man a Snickers bar and you hear "Want some peanuts...grab a Snickers" As it pans back you see the son setting there under a mound of peanut shells and all you can see is his baseball mit and the father says "Enjoying the game son?" and he looks down, see's his son covered in shells and goes "Excuse me...down in front...my son can't see". The first time I saw that I rolled.

Another Snickers commercial from back in the day a minute is showing a little bald headed man standing in the mirror and he's grunting and making this aweful face. All of a sudden you hear this doink and a little hair pops up on his head. He grins big as ever and you hear him grunting again. Then of course you hear "Hungry? Why wait...grab a Snickers." Then in the darkness of the commercial screan you hear doink.....doink, doink, doink, doink and when it pans out you see the little man looking in the mirror with a unibrow. I about died when I saw that commercial.

I think the best commercial here lately I've seen thought is a commercial that comes with a story on it. You see a farmer pick up a fancy ladies shoe with a pitch fork just looking at it. Next you see a pair of pink underwear flying and hitting a big rig on the windshield and he is using his wiperblades to try and get them off of his windshield. Then you see a frilly shirt lying on the side of the road. Next you see a long horn bull with a bra on one of his horns. Then you hear "You can bet...on your family vacation...if it can go wrong...it most likely will" and it shows a little boy in the back seat throwing his mom's things out the car window. Then you hear "Stay at LaQuinta Inns".

I laughed so hard with that because it reminded me of a story my aunt had told me. They were on vacation and my 3 cousins (All boys) were in the back seat of the car. My aunt told me that she kept seeing this white blur going down the side of the car out the side mirror but couldn't figure out what it was. It wasn't until she saw it and looked back that she'd realized that all 3 of my cousins had taken their socks and shoes off and were throwing them out the window just amazed watching them go down the side of the window. Needless to say, they all 3 got new socks and shoes when getting to their destination.

Well...thats about it. My final thought for the day...Love the commercials. Its ok. If you see it and love it, don't hesitate to call you friend and laugh out loud. They are funny as all get out and I've got to hand it to the people who have too much time on their hands. I tip my hat to you and I love seeing every one of them.

Todays thought...Religion in every day life...I believe in it! If this is a touchy subject with you then I would suggest you close this window RIGHT NOW!

I just received an e-mail today It is showing that an athiest is trying to get religion off of our airwaves. She has a hearing in front of the FCC with a petition. She already got the show Touched By an Angel off the air because they used the word God in like every episode. Now she is trying to get it to where our children cannot even sing Christmas Carols or particpate in Christmas activities in our own schools. Its bad enought that she stopped prayer in schools now this! When will it stop!?

Well, here's my take on it. GET OVER IT!!! IF YOU DON'T LIKE WATCHING CHURCH THINGS ON TV ON SUNDAY MORNING THEN TURN THEM OFF!!! I personally can't stand Howard Stern or Rush Limbaugh. So guess what! I DON'T WATCH THEM!!! I have 400+ channels so you know what!? That means that there are 399 of them that I can watch besides the one that has either one of them on at the time. It's not like I'm going to start a petition to get the show off the air just because I don't like it!

This just infuriates me! Someone started at mass e-mail petition to stop this and I hope and pray that if you get it, you will sign it and fwd it. This has got to stop people. Since when did this country become so politically correct that you can't even sing Christmas Carols?

WE LIVE IN AMERICA - LETS START ACTING LIKE IT! DEFEND WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN WITHOUT LIMITING IDEAS - IDEAS ARE NOT DANGEROUS - PEOPLE ARE! IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD...THAT'S FINE...THATS YOUR CHOICE - BUT DON'T TRY AND MAKE YOUR CHOICE...EVERYBODIES CHOICE!!!!

Todays thought...Finding Family

My mama has been on a very strong search for her sister whom I am going to call (Oklahoma from now on). All my mama has known for so many years is that Oklahoma had left when my mama was 12, and she had never seen her again. Many nights I can remember, my mama and I cried. I tried to console her as the questions of whether or not Oklahoma was dead or alive or where and how she was plagued her mind.

When I was old enough to help, I attempted in assisting with my mama's search to find Oklahoma. I called Maury Povich, Oprah, Montel Williams, Big Hugs, US Search and just about everything short of calling Unsolved Mysteries and hiring a private investigator.

With every type of utilities though we kept hitting the same brick wall. No Social Security Number.

Alas ... the break we were needing. My mama actually came across Oklahoma's social. Long story short, we were able to use the information to find Oklahoma. Having the information then opened a ton of new questions. "Did Oklahoma want to be found - Would she even talk to my mama if we called or hang up - If she had an e-mail and she opened it, would she delete it - If my mama sent a letter, would she keep it and call or throw it away." So many questions. How to procede.

Looking this Sunday March 7th 2004 on the internet to see if Oklahoma had an e-mail I set my mama down and told her, "This is your break. This is what you have been waiting for ever since I can remember. Just bite the bullit and call her." Of course (You know I love you mama) but she was chicken. Then I told her "So, I'll call her and get the foot in the door. What's the worst that can happen? ... She'll hang up. Atleast then you know she's alive." She looked at me with a scared to death perplexed "Shoud I do it or nor" look. She took a deep breath and said "Go get your dad's calling card."

I ran out side and got the card and came back in. I was scared to death. I was so nervouse to the thought of talking to a practical legend in my mama's eyes that she had not seen in 35 years. My heart was pounding so fast and I was shaking so bad I could hardly dial her number.

The phone rang once ... twice ... and once more before a machine picked up that said the called party has a system that allows them to be on the internet and the phone at the same time ... please stand by as your call is connected. I came so close to hanging up the phone. The phone rang again ... twice ... and it picked up. A younger woman answered the phone. It was Oklahoma's daughter-in-law. I asked for Oklahoma. She asked who I was. I told her my name and she asked what I was selling. It did not dawn on me at that point that I was using the calling card and it was coming up with a city and state and number that was not ours. I told her at that point that I was not selling anything actually and that I thought I was Oklahoma's neice.

I heard the conversation between the two of them when she took Oklahoma the phone. She told Oklahoma that her neice was on the phone. "My neice!?" I heard her say "I don't have a neice!". She answered the phone and I asked for her by name. I told her who I was and the instant the words "I think I am your neice" came out of my mouth, and my mama realized that I was actually talking to Oklahoma ... Something she had been longing for for years ... she started to cry. There was an almost awkward silence on the other line and I proceded to tell Oklahoma who I was, and who my mama was.

Scared to death of whether or not she would be estatic that I was calling, or upset, I prepared myself for the worst. To my benefit ... she was estatic. She was so happy. I heard her say to her daughter-in-law "MY SISTER ... SHE HAS A DAUGHTER ... I'M TALKING TO MY SISTERS DAUGHTER!!" Just between ya'll and me, I would not have traded that moment for anything in the world. She asked me "Well baby, where are you at?" I told her where I was and told her that I was at my mama's house and that she had been wanting to talk to her for a long time. I was so releived whe she asked "Well, where is she? Can I talk to her?" I put her on the phone with my mama and they talked for about an hour. Talking about how life had treated them, marriages, children, family and so on.

I told my mama last night ... Next on the agenda ... Family reunion.

Todays thought goes out to my mama and Oklahoma. Mama I love you dearly and would go to the ends of the earth with you. Your my heart and just remember, if ever you feel chicken, just give me a call. I got enough brass for the both of us. To Oklahoma, I'm so happy we found you. You will never know the joy that just knowing that you are ok has brought into mine and my mama's hearts. If you ever get a mass e-mail some day from someone who is looking for their long lost aunt who was last known to be in West Virginia, just delete it. I already found you. I can not wait to meet you and your beautiful family and cannot wait for you to meet my mama's family. I await that day and until then ... just know that my mama would have NEVER stopped looking and I would have been there, right by her side until you were found.

Todays thoght....Let it snow

I absolutely hate the cold, but snow on the other hand is a whole other story. I remember being younger and could not wait until snow so I could sled and skate and everything and build showmen. As I got older I could not wait for the snow because living where I am now, it was so uncommon that if it snowed, schools were automatically closed. And now that I am working for a living snow has 2 meanings to me.

I dont have any children yet but my nephew Sniper Jr is about to get to that age that he is going to be able to enjoy it. This is the main meaning of it for me. I can't wait for the first snow to see his reaction on his little face. With my neice Lil Floor coming soon, it will be the same with her. Seeing a child see snow for the first time, or even just thinking about the reaction takes me back to when I was a kid. I was resilient. I'd be blue because I would be so cold, but would still just insist on getting out in it. My mama would bring me in for some hot coco but I just could not stand it when I was inside and there was 2 ft of snow to play in.

The other reason to be completely honest, around in my neck of the woods we normally get ice and not snow, so if it snows around here, work is usually closed. Gives me a free day. Kinda fun. Underlying that, it gives me the opprotunity to go out and have fun like I did when I was younger.

Well that is about all she wrote for right now, so I say to you all, if it is snowing where you are right now, go out and enjoy it. If its not, then think of when you were a kid, and how much snow made you feel good, and think...Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow!!!!

Todays thought...An update

Haven't posted in a while I know. Life's been pretty good. My Pooh Bear got a wonderful job. It was hard for us but like I told him when he first quit his previous employment...He could have gone out the next day and gotten a job anywhere flipping burgers...but he's better than that. And guess what...he did. I am so proud of my baby and I know that he is glad to be back to work. He was so bored at home that he changed my living room around atleast once a week. But alas, he is back. My sister's husband helped along the way ... Sniper, Thank you ... And he got the interview and got the job.

My Floor is doing good with the Sniper Jr and the one on the way. My daddy told me a while back that she was having a girl, and when she went to her last ultra sound ... sure enough they gave her a 75% chance that it's a girl. I'm going with her to the next one coming up and find out for sure. I will call her Lil Floor. Of course, I will update everyone on the findings.

This past weekend was not a great weekend for me. I ended up in the hospital. My first trip in an ambulance. Kinda wierd. My Pooh Bear called everybody and of course My Floor and Sniper were among the top on the list to be called. My Floor has been trying for about 3 weeks to get her hair cut now. So, when my Pooh Bear called Sniper, he called My Floor. By the time they let my Pooh Bear into the room with me back in the ER, My Floor had already gotten to the hospital and was in the waiting room. I have to laugh because I asked them to let her back there and when she got back there she joked that she swore this was a conspiracy for her to not get my hair cut. I was trying so hard to laugh but a little out of it. So ... Floor, I know you were kidding and it was quite proven by the fact that you sat up there with me all afternoon when I know you had better things to do with your time. If I didn't tell you the other day, Thank you and again, I feel so blessed to have you in my life.

Well I guess that's about it for now. Its been pretty quiet. I will keep everyone posted on Lil Floor. And to all, goodnight.

Todays thought...Nothing major. I want to post an e-mail I received and just let everyone know how the new year is starting out.

First off...the e-mail...this is really cute ---
This has got to be one of the most clever E-Mails ever seen. Someone out
there either has too much spare time or is deadly at Scrabble. (Wait
till you see the last one!!!)
GEORGE BUSH: When you rearrange the letters: HE BUGS GORE
DORMITORY: When you rearrange the letters: DIRTY ROOM
EVANGELIST: When you rearrange the letters: EVIL'S AGENT
PRESBYTERIAN: When you rearrange the letters: BEST IN PRAYER
DESPERATION: When you rearrange the letters: A ROPE ENDS IT
THE MORSE CODE: When you rearrange the letters: HERE COME DOTS
SLOT MACHINES: When you rearrange the letters: CASH LOST IN ME
ANIMOSITY: When you rearrange the letters: IS NO AMITY
MOTHER-IN-LAW: When you rearrange the letters: WOMAN HITLER
SNOOZE ALARMS: When you rearrange the letters: ALAS! NO MORE Z'S
A DECIMAL POINT: When you rearrange the letters: I'M A DOT IN PLACE
ELEVEN PLUS TWO: When you rearrange the letters: TWELVE PLUS ONE
And for the grand finale:
PRESIDENT CLINTON OF THE USA: When you rearrange the letters (With no
letters left over and using each letter only once): TO COPULATE HE FINDS
INTERNS ---
I thought it was really cute. One that I've seen on the TV recently -
CLINT EASTWOOD: When you rearrange the letters: OLD WEST ACTION

My new year has started off pretty good. I have my website now and people are actually going in and looking at what I think. It's kinda cool. My mother-in-law (Whom I must add is not a Woman Hitler) is finally getting better. She has been out of the hospital for a while now but since the first of the year has not had to go back to that dreadful place (Knock on Wood). I told her this year I had no intentions of going to that place to visit her so she'd better not go back in.

It...to be honest...has not been the greatest starting of the year for a couple of my compadre's. To you out there (You know who you are) don't fret, it will get better. May God bless you and keep the silver lining in sight.

I guess that is it for now...not a whole lot has happened. I end this with a thought to my compadre's again...Keep your chin up and know that though it may be raining here...above the clouds...the sun is still shining and soon you will feel it on your face. I know that this time is tough...but just hang in there like I know you can. Smile and know that it will be alright. Ya'll mean the world to me and if you need anything at all...you have my number...don't hesitate to call.

Todays thought...Another funny

This is a story about when I was working at a factory. My boss was eating lunch and we often sat at the same table talking about his family and just general conversation with about 4 other people. We were all at the table one evening telling jokes and riddles.

He turned to me and said..."OK, I have a riddle for you. Your on a plane. The plane is completely loaded with people and luggage and cannot take one more atom of weight or it will crash to the ground. If you opened a window and a fly came into the cabin of the plane, would the weight be added to the plane when then fly flew into the window, or when it landed on a seat?"

I thought and thought about it for a little while and looked at him. Finally my answer came. I said to him "It wouldn't matter. The plane would crash either way."

He goes "Why?" I told him simply... "Think about it...If you are in a plane, up in the air, and you opened a window...the cabin would depressurize and the plane would come apart and everyone would die anyway"

Simple logic to me. He looked at me and said "That's it, I am never asking you another question again." He was so upset. I never did figure out the answer to the question.

Todays thought...Happy New Years

As we say Good-Bye to '03 and say Hello to '04 I would like to share some of my amazing moments and some others not so amazing as I say Adios to this year.

Beginning of the year (Not sure of the date) I met Saturn. As I have said before, she is like my little sister and I kind of took her under my wing. I helped her through a really tough time in her life. She would say I helped more than I think I did...but all I did was let her know my opinion when she asked for it and was there for her when she needed a shoulder. To be honest I think I probably put my 2 cents in more than I should have (Though she says I didn't) but I never held back. I just called it how I saw it. I am glad that I was able to help her through the troubling times that I did and am glad she has been a part of my life.

February 1, 2003, the Space Shuttle Columbia fell from the sky. Fresh out of September 11, 2001 everybody's initial thought was a terrorist attack. Once that was ruled out (Quite fast I might add since it's impossible to hit a craft going Mach 6 with a missle), it came time to find out what happened. It just broke up on re-entry. The shuttle could not handle the stress and it just burned up. By all accounts the shuttle should have never left the ground. It had gone on something like 28 missions and was the first space shuttle to ever reach space in April 12, 1981. To all the family and friends of those who were on the shuttle I am sorry for your loss.

March, 2003, my Pooh Bear took me to Walt Disney World in Orlando. We had the best time both going and coming home. We park hopped once and got to see amazing sights. The weather was perfect. The only day it rained was the day that we went to the water park and it didn't matter because it was a water park and it was only raining. I taught my Pooh Bear how to body surf at the Typhoon Lagoon water park and we discussed what we were going to do when we came back the next time. We rode the Tower of Terror at MGM and got to ride the GM Test track at Epcot. I had hoped to show my Pooh Bear what a Manatee looked like but they did not have any there at the time. He bought me a stuffed Manatee though and on the flipper is stamped "The Living Seas - Walt Disney World Epcot Center" The best part about the Epcot park was getting to see all the countries unite for the fireworks display at the end of the night. Sheer magic. I started to cry half way through it and cried the rest of the way throught the fireworks. It was an amazing and memorable trip.

Most memorable...May 3, 2003, my nephew Sniper Jr was born. It was the most amazing thing to be there in the hospital as he was being born. Floor went into labor at about 2pm May 2 and delivered Sniper Jr at 3:47 AM. 5 lbs. 11 oz and 18" long, he was the most amazing little miracle I have ever witnessed. I got to hold him at 15 minutes old. He was so tiny and it was one of the most wonderful feelings in the world to be there.

July 1, 2003, the one year anniversary of my position at work. It was a momentus occasion for me. Also for me in the same month at work...July 11, 2003 - I get promoted to the next level of telephone harrassing...High Risk. A whole new world for me.

Early July, 2003...My Tippy died. She was 11 years old and had been my best friend for a long time. She was part Black Lab, part Timber Wolf. I had the hardest time getting over that and sometimes I think about crazy things she did and still get weepy-eyed (Kinda like right now). To my Tippy --- I love you and hope that you and Lucky are having the time of your lives. Can't wait to see you when I get there.

July 28, 2003, my Floor, Sniper and Sniper Jr move out of state. I cried my eyeballs out. I could not believe she was leaving and I was devistated. All I could think about was that she was not going to be here for me to come over on Saturday nights. I wasn't going to hear her call me on my days off during the week and say "Hey, need adult coversation, bring the baby over". July was a hard month for me losing 2 of my best friends in the same month.

September 1, 2003, I get promoted again. This one comes with a nice pay increase. Nothing major but enough to write home to mom about. I meet my new team mates fore mentioned in previous blogs Columbia and Clarksville. Clarksville is my partner and as I have said in the past...I am sure that there are times that both she and Columbia could have strangled me. I have a real bad habit of asking the same questions over and over. I love most of the people on my new team and was so excited to meet all of them. Again...as fore mentioned, I finally feel like I fit in at work.

Mid September, 2003, my Pooh Bear quit his job. The establishment he worked at was robbed and I told him to call and quit that night. We are still looking for him a job, but to me, it's worth being broke to know that he does not have to go into that place every night.

Also going on in September, my little brother was set to get married. He was not ready and quite literally, the week before he was supposed to say "I do" I was able to set him down, talk to him and make him admit to himself that he was not ready. My mama jokingly said that she knew there was a reason that she had me first. I love my little brother to death and want nothing more than for him to be happy, which is why I was glad that I was able to talk to him. I can't take all the credit now either. He is the one that admitted it, and my daddy helped talk to him as well and gave him some insight on things, since my little brother was listening. He has since talked to his fiance and they are still together. He postponed the wedding until he was a little more ready. Go you little bro.

October 14, 2003, a milestone in my life as this is the longest I have ever held a job. It was a very big time to celebrate and I did as I am sure you can imagine.

Also in October, 2003, my grandfather comes up missing. He was found and is doing ok, but I will never forget that. My mama and daddy went out West to see him. While there she was able to see my uncle and aunt. She had not seen them in 25+ years. (Long story) My aunt unfortunately passed away the weekend after mama got home. On the way home mama and daddy got on a plane (Did not like that) but I said a little prayer for a safe return. The moment after I said that prayer they unboarded the plane because they had found a crack in the wing and had to bring a new plane in for them to come home. They made it home safe and sound.

December 6, 2003, my Floor moved back home. Though a short stay out of state, it seemed like forever. She brought with herself the news that she was pregnant again. I had know this about a month before, but she came home. I could hardly contain myself when I saw her, Sniper and Sniper Jr after the 5 long months that they were gone. Now I again hear "Hey, comin over with the baby" on my off days. To Floor --- So glad your home. Welcome back.

Also in December, 2003 my mama tells me that one of my cousins has HIV. Didn't quite know how to take the news. Still trying to deal with it a little I guess. My mother-in-law (My Damn Redneck) got put in the hospital on Christmas Eve and we spent the night there Christmas night. She got out and is doing better now with a couple of bumps along the way. My Pooh Bear got me a birthstone ring for Christmas, nothing extravagant, but I absolutely love it. It is perfect for me, small and simple. My Pooh Bear really does know me.

I finally end this blog with the thought to everyone out there....Happy New Year 2004 and hopefully this year will be good to you. I can only hope that it is a little bit better than 2003.

Todays thought...How Christmas brings out the worst in people

Have you ever gone to a store to get something in the last few weeks before Christmas? You know what I mean. The last few weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now why is it that when you go to the store, even if it is just for something simple like some socks or bread and milk and the people are just as rude as you have ever seen?

No one is ever courtious, if you take something that they wanted they will curse you till blue in the face, no one ever offers you to get in front of them in line when you have one thing and they have 30, no one ever opens the door for you or will step aside if you are reaching for something that they are in front of. Yet all other times of the year the average Joe will do that for you. This should be a time when you are more courtious and more conciderate and gestures should come straight from the heart and because you want to.

This is Christmas people! A time to rejoice the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. It is not a commercial holiday to see who can get the last gift off the shelf, or who can out do the other in presents. This is a time to celebrate and give thanks for the birth of a great man who gave his own life for us.

Stop with the commercialism and get a clue. This is a time of happiness. Be nice to one another, stop being so damn superficial and conceided. Be with your family, friends, and give a gift from the heart, not one from the store.

And if nothing else...atleast say Happy Birthday to Jesus on Christmas morning. If not for him, we would not even have this holiday which is a holiday...as I said already...to rejoice his birth and to be with family and friends. Cherish the time instead of stooping to such lows that you would compromise the meaning of this great day all together.

Merry Christmas all...and Happy Birthday Jesus

Todays thought...Good times

My floor is home finally. She was supposed to call me on the Saturday that she got home but it got trying times and she got busy and was not able to. I went to see her the following Monday and found that they made it home fine with no problems. I got to see Sniper Jr. He is getting so big. I can't believe how much he has grown in the little time they were gone. He's such a little ham. His little toung is always out and he is just got this look on his face that would just make you melt. It is so good to see that they are home.

On another good note... I write poety. Just a hobby. A little about my past, I won a full scholarship to a college in Minnesota for 4 years on a poem that I wrote. I passed it up however because I had to go to Minnesota to study and I had to study Literature and Poetry. I did not want to have to study that so I declined my offer. I entered into a poetry contest recently and submitted a rather simple poem. In the last week I have received an offer to have a book that my poem as well as a write-up about me will be in and I received an e-mail, my poem is going international. They want to put me in a book in the UK. I could not be more tickled about this. And further more I am entered in to win $1,000 in a monthly and I am a semi-finalist to win $10,000 in a yearly contest.

Lastly...I have said it once and I will say it again...I love the people that I work with. Columbia and Clarksvill are two of the most amazing people in the world to work with and to hang out with. I feel included in the little "Click" so to say and could not be more happy with it. I finally feel like I belong in the group of people I work with as my own person and I like it A LOT. Its a good feeling to know that you belong as you and not the little mold that people most often times feel you should be in.

I close this entry with a note to Clarksville and Columbia...I am really blessed to have you two in my lives and am very glad that we work together. You make it a lot of fun to come to work to and I could not be more happy that we know eachother. I hope that we can form long and lasting friendships all around and I want to thank you both for making me feel like I have a place to fit in...as myself.

Todays thought...I'm slackin

I was supposed to keep a day to day about Floor's Homecoming '03 and to tell the truth I have just not gotten on the net to do it.

Floor....I await your return. I called her house today and there was no answer and got really excited that maybe they left early and was already on the way but when I got home and checked my mail I had one from my Floor and discovered that she has not left yet.

Floors Homecoming '03 is here. They are either leaving tonight after packing or in the morning. Either way she will be home tomorrow with Gods speed and his hand on them through the trip.

Can't wait to see you Floor and if you read this before you leave we have a date for Sunday at 12:00 Noon and the TV for Kickoff. See you soon.

Todays thought....family

Ok, so anyone who reads this knows that my Floor is like my sister. She is just awesome and as I have said, it is a friendship that started out as a threat and has since moved into where it is now. She is pregnant again and she is just as tickled as ever. Of course I can't wait, she's my floor, you know I'm ready. My pooh bear told her the other day that it is a girl. Funny enough, my daddy said it was going to be a girl as well and he told her that Sniper Jr was going to be a boy before she found out about that.

I said in a previous entry that she is moving home from out of state. We all thought it would be after Christmas but it has since moved to 5 days from today. I am sure she is busy packing and all. I cannot wait until she comes home. As I have also previously said, I am going to cry for sure for a moment when she arrives. Hopefully I can get together with her over the weekend and see how my nephew is doing. I haven't seen him in about 6 months. Well, floor... I dedicate then next few entries to you. I am going to get on here every day and give a countdown to arrival.

Stay tuned to Floors Homecoming '03.

Todays thought...Funny statements

Have you ever looked at the TV Guide channel and you will see a show that begins with "The" or "I" and then when it gets to just a half an hour left of the show and there is no more room for the rest of the title on the guide and you just see the words "The" or "I"

To quote my Floor --- Well actually her honey Sniper --- How did Webster know the definitions to all of those words when he wrote the first dictionary? To quote my Readers Digest Magazine - November Issue '03 - - Before we begin cloning, there is one question we have to ask ourselves. If you push your naked clone off of a high rise building, would you be: committing suicide...murder...or making an obscene clone fall

Or you have the ever favorable to also quote my Readers Digest Magazine --- If you arrest a mime - do you still have to tell him he has the right to remain silent? Why do you drive on a parkway and park on a driveway? Why does your feet smell and your nose run? If you choke a smurf...what color does he turn?

Lastly if you notice when there is a weather warning on the TV - It usually says "High damaging winds...Hail...and Dangerous lightening. - What is that?! Have you ever seen lightening that was not dangerous? I mean really...think about it..."Hey George, lets go golfing, this lightening doesn't look dangerous!" DUHHHH!!!!

And that's what I have to say for tonight.
